“It is hard to believe that it has been eight years since I was first elected. These past eight years have afforded me many opportunities as a member of the City Council to make our city a better place to live and work. As a lifelong resident and third generation family member to live in our city, I have always enjoyed giving back to the city that has been a home to my family since 1913.

I am proud of many things I have been able to accomplish; especially the results of the effort I have made to improve emergency services. I feel a true sense of accomplishment in seeing a huge upgrade with regard to our frontline equipment, in addition training and additional personnel. This in part, is as a result of many trips to Sacramento and Washington D.C. where I lobbied for funding for our city. My message to those who make the decisions about where the money should go was clear … San Gabriel may be small, but we want our fair share of the pie. I know there is much more to do, and am enthusiastic about the many projects in the works, especially the construction of a new police facility that will provide accommodations for state of the art technology and equipment in addition to much needed space for our police personnel. I consider it an honor to be a member of the City Council, and I respectfully ask for your vote on March 3^rd.”
